Auckland City of Sails – that’s what this capital city of New Zealand is known as. What better way to acknowledge that than by setting sail in the Auckland Harbour. This was the first time my family has taken a sail boat. We did not expect it to be quite exciting.
Hot beverages and brownies were served before we set sail on the Auckland Harbour. We saw the whole process of bringing up the sail, steering the boat, and eventually bringing down the sail.
Look at how tilted the boat was. We were so close to the water. It was quite an experience for the whole family.
BeesOnline and other Souvenirs
We wrapped up our last full day in Auckland with a bit of souvenir shopping for the loved ones back home, including New Zealand honey from BeesOnline.
Checkout the cute packaging for chocolates below.
Apart from sailing, we also visited the Auckland Tower.
This trip is part of our 10-day New Zealand North Island Adventures.
