A visit to New Zealand would not be complete without experiencing the Maori culture of the indigenous people of New Zealand.
At the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, we visited the Ko Tane Living Maori Village of the Ngai Tahu tribe. The Maoris shared their culture, their way of life, their food and entertained their guests with a unique cultural performance.
The Maoris also did the Haka (below) for us. Haka is a war dance which is performed before major battles.
Last Stop: On our last day, we toured Christchurch on the hop-on-hop-off Christchurch Tramway.
Where to stay: Here is a list of accommodations in Christchurch on Booking.com.
This trip was part of our 9-day New Zealand South Island Itinerary.
