Nestled below snow-capped mountains, Lake Wanaka is one of the most beautiful lakes I had ever seen. The air was fresh and the lake was so clear that it reflected the mountains and the sky. The tranquility of the place could easily make one forget about the stress of everyday life. I could sit there all day if I had the time.
Lake Wanaka is a fantastic place to have a picnic. We just grabbed sandwiches and drinks at a nearby eatery and had a simple picnic while admiring nature at its best.
