Europapark

Europa-Park is the largest theme park in Germany and also one of the more popular ones in Europe.  Located in Rust, Europa-Park is not just about rides. Visitors can get a flavour of several European countries in a fun way. The London bus that went up and down in a circular fashion, the Dutch Windmills, the Venice canals, and the Vikings were just some of the many attractions in Europa-Park. There were also many eateries in the theme park with a variety of food from various European countries.

Even though we arrived early and left late, the park was too big to cover in one day. Nonetheless, the kiddos had a great time there.

More information and ticket prices can be found at the Europa-Park website.

Where to stay

There were a number of accommodations near to Europa-Park. I was very tempted to book a Tipee and camp out with the kids overnight. It would have been a unique experience for the family. However, the requirement was that we had to bring sleeping bags, even though they provided beds and blankets.

In the end, we decided to stay in Hotel Engel which was a 9-minute drive from Europa-Park.  Hotel Engel also had accommodations for a family of 4 to 5.

Beyond Europa-Park

Our trip to Europa-Park was part of our 15-day Europe Adventures with Kids.  After Europa-Park, we headed to the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle.
