The Cologne Chocolate Museum (also known as the Schokoladen Museum) was a fun place to visit for the kids. We got to see all aspects of chocolate making, from grinding of cocoa beans, to stirring of liquid chocolate, moulding, wrapping and packaging.  The kids enjoyed the free wafers generously dipped in chocolate from the giant chocolate fountain.  The souvenir shop near the entrance was definitely worth the visit for chocolate lovers. They had a large variety of chocolate to choose from.

We drove past and took pictures of the Cologne Cathedral, which is a World Heritage site and one of the most visited landmark in Germany.

After another 1.5 hour drive, we arrived in Frankfurt and stayed overnight at one of the hotels in Frankfurt.

Our trip to Cologne Chocolate Museum was part of our 15-day European adventures.  On the next day, we visit a medieval city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
