Los Angeles is a city that hardly needs any introduction. Famed as the centre of the country’s entertainment industry, a visit to sunny Los Angeles would not be complete without setting foot in Hollywood.
Hollywood
Who comes to Hollywood for the first time and not take a picture of the iconic Hollywood sign? The popular places to explore in Hollywood include the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theatre, and Madame Tussauds Hollywood. As we have visited these attractions on previous a previous trip, we just drove around downtown LA and brought the kids to see the famous Beverly Hills.
Santa Monica Beach
Santa Monica Beach is one of the most famous beaches in LA. With a 3-mile long sandy beach and an amusement park, Santa Monica is a top tourist attraction in LA. It was so crowded when we were there that we just made a quick stop before heading to our next destination.
Griffith Park
Another top attraction in LA is Griffith Park and the observatory. The park offered a great view of the city of Los Angeles.
Universal Studios Hollywood
We spent the whole day at Universal Studios Hollywood the next day. Read more here.
Where to Stay
As we were planning to visit Disneyland Park California and Disney California Adventures, we decided to stay near Disneyland in Anaheim. We stayed at Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites which was walking distance from the entrance of Disneyland – a very good location indeed. We booked through Booking.com (Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites).
