Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore is a three-time TTG award winner for Best Integrated Resort which includes Universal Studios, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove, TrickEye Museum and more. We did a staycation (a vacation in your hometown) at the Festive Hotel, enjoyed the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel, watched the Crane Dance and Lake of Dreams show.
Festive Hotel
The Festive Hotel is one of the few hotels in the Resorts World Sentosa that has a a family room with a king-sized bed, a sofa bed and a loft bed.
Check out the great view of the harbour and cable cars from our hotel room.
Exploring Resorts World Sentosa
The first place we passed by, right next to the hotel lobby, was a row of shops selling luxury products, as well as perfumes and cosmetics.
I loved the cheerful decor at the Festive Hotel as well as other parts of Resorts World Sentosa. There were so many artwork that it felt like strolling through an art gallery.
Festive Walk
There were a number of eateries at the Festive Walk, with a range of food options from fast foods to fine dining restaurants.
I created my own Thai noodle meal at Bali Thai by choosing from a selection of noodles, special Thai sauces, and ingredients.
Swimming Time at Hard Rock Hotel
The great thing about staying at any of the hotels at Resorts World Sentosa was that we could use the huge swimming pool area at Hard Rock Hotel. It was easy to please the kids with Hard Rock Hotel’s signature sandy beach and sandy pool. There was also a “river” where we could explore, sheltered jacuzzi to relax, and water playground for kids to have fun.
The pool at Festive Hotel (below) was much smaller in comparison.
The Crane Dance
The Crane Dance was one of the free after-dinner entertainment in Resorts World Sentosa opened to public. Even though it was a Sunday evening, the seats overlooking the harbour were packed with people more than 30 minutes before the show. At 9pm, the two huge mechanical cranes started moving and “dancing” to the music.
With a small fireworks display at the end, this free entertainment was definitely worth watching.
Lake of Dreams
Immediately after the Crane Dance, most of the audience took a short 5-minute stroll across the Festive Walk to the Lake of Dreams. This show, which started at 9.30pm, was a choreographed display of water, light and fire. My kids didn’t enjoy this show that much though.
