There are some holidays where you want to open a map, put on a good pair of walking shoes and explore the best of what the city/country has to offer. There are some where you want to get away, do nothing and just relax and spend some quality time with the family, even if it is just for a day.
One such place that my family went that is less than an hours’ drive from Singapore’s checkpoint is Pulai Springs Resort Malaysia in Johor Bahru. Not surprisingly, many visitors to Singapore stay overnight in Johor as it is much cheaper.
Its Cinta Ayu Suites have two-bedroom units that could accommodate my family of 5. It has a nice pool and a good breakfast buffet spread. Avid golfers can enjoy playing golf at this resort.
When it comes to keeping the kids happy, you can’t go wrong with, not one but, three pools, one of which overlooks the golf course.
The kids worked up an appetite after swimming and we dug in at the resort’s Qing Palace , an award-winning restaurant that served pretty good halal Chinese cuisine. Another option is the western buffet that had a good spread of western and local cuisines.
I booked my stay through Booking.com. It had the best rate at that time. Interested to stay at Pulai Springs Resort? You can view more details and check availability from the search box below:
