My family went on a quick getaway to Lotus Desaru Beach Resort during the Chinese New Year holiday this year. With the new highway, it took us about one hour from the Tuas checkpoint to get to Desaru which was on the eastern part of Johor, Malaysia. The resort was huge with eighteen 4-storey blocks. Kidzania Malaysia is not your typical theme park with amusement rides or arcade games. It is a one-of-a-kind concept where kids get to role-play different professions through interactive learning. Featherdale Wildlife Park

Featherdale Wildlife Park is a zoo in Sydney with lots of native Australian wildlife and bids. The park had a number of marsupials including kangaroos, wallabies, wombat and the Tasmanian devil. We got to see the most adorable koala bear cuddling up on a tree. We also got to see several reptiles like crocodiles, turtles, lizards and snakes.
