There’s a place in Singapore with a temperature below freezing point and that is at the 2 Degree Ice Art exhibition.  Located at the Marina Bay area, the 2 Degree Ice Art is the largest ice sculpture exhibition in Singapore.

The 2 Degree Ice Art  features ice sculptures from award-winning ice carving masters. There were ice sculptures of world-famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty.

There were also local landmarks like the Merlion and Sir Stamford Raffles.

The orange-coloured wall below is actually an ice carving, believe it or not.

Guess which Singapore landmark this is?

Apart from landmarks, there were also ice sculptures of animals like penguins and dinosaurs.

My kiddos favourite part of the exhibition was the play area made entirely of ice.  Lots of kids and adults queued up to slide down the icy slide.  There was also a small play area filled with snow.

Useful Information

  • You can rent a winter coat for $5 each, or bring your own.  A sweater or jacket and a cap are sufficient to keep you warm.  The smallest winter coat for rent is too big for a pre-schooler, so it is best to bring warm clothings for your pre-schoolers.
  • Gloves are free and issued at the ticket counter.
  • Kids below 9 enter for free.
  • It takes about 20-30 minutes to enjoy the exhibition, and longer if you want to queue up again and again for the icy slides.
  • There is a car park at the 2 Degree Ice Art exhibition.
  • There is also a 2 Degree Ice Bar outside of the exhibition area with tables and chairs made entirely of ice.
